Corran!

So I'm reading the newest Star Wars book the other day waiting on the guys to arrive so we can go see Serenity, and boy was I in for a shock. They finally promoted Corran to Jedi Master! His children, Valin and Jysella are both well on the way to becoming Padawans.

A hundred pages later, with Luke missing in action for several weeks, the Jedi temporarily elect Corran as the new head of the Jedi Order! It's completely temporary and will go away when Luke returns, but holy crap!
